What our clients have to say about lymphedema treatment at CRA:

It is with great pride that I present my personal recommendation for Angela Wicker-Ramos and Cancer Rehab Austin. I must say I was a skeptic at first. I’ve always considered massage therapy as “Hippy Stuff”. I now realize that I was ignorant. The surgery I received from cancer left me with no lymph nodes in the left side of my neck, which led to a severe case of Lymphedema. I suddenly looked like I had 5 chins and was willing to try anything. Texas Oncology sent me to Angela. Angela was very sympathetic with a wonderful “bed side manner”. She also has a vast knowledge of Lymphedema, and her goal was not only to treat my condition, but to educate me as well, so I could continue treating myself when the insurance benefits ran out. I have found the Lymph node system to be fascinating, and Angela to be a very good “teacher”. She had me fitted for a headgear garment. That, combined with her treatments, gave me dramatic results in just 5 visits. Besides being a joy to work with, Angela cares deeply and always has a positive attitude. She is very professional and treated me with the up most respect and courtesy. The place was always clean, but never “clinical”. I found it very relaxing and I was able to “unwind”. I didn’t want to leave! Angela and Cancer Rehab Austin has my highest recommendation.

Angela Wicker-Ramos is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable therapist. If you have lymphedema, you can trust Angela to help you. After spending months trying to get the proper care I finally found it here. I was treated with awesome results and taught how to self maintain. Angela also made sure I had the proper compression garments and educated me about this disease. Cancer Rehab Austin is an intimate facility with the resources for anyone fighting cancer and the after- effects of treatment that we may suffer from.

I have been so impressed with Angela and Cancer Rehab! As soon as I had my mastectomy, I scheduled with her to make sure I could control any lymph issues. The center is so well set up and I always feel like I am getting a massage as opposed to a “clinical” treatment. I have a relative who works in rehab at MD Anderson and she is now recommending people here because of Angela’s very effective care.
