Nutrition

A registered dietitian is a part of the team of health professionals that help with cancer treatment and recovery. Balancing your diet can be challenging at the best of times, but when going through cancer treatment and recovery, it is even more important.

How Nutrition Can Help

Finding the right balance of protein and calories can help you feel better, reduce symptoms from cancer and cancer treatment, and support a strong healthy body throughout your cancer journey. A dietitian may work with both individuals and their families to manage and help navigate dietary needs that arise during and after cancer treatment. These changes could include the types and amount of foods consumed, how often a person eats, and how the food is prepared and eaten.
